Sarojesh Mukerjee's Rovers in India

Sarojesh Mukerjee's freshly painted P3 in Calcutta, India.

Here's a bit of irony for you. Patrick Hiron's P3 was shipped from England to Calcutta in "Complete Knock Down" (CKD) condition to be reassembled by Dewar's Motor Works as a locally assembled automobile. It was later driven overland back to England. The P3 Sarojesh owns was shipped to India after being completely assembled at the Rover factory in England. At some point in time, they were probably both in Calcutta sitting next to each other at Dewar's having their oil changed. Like two guys in a couple of barber chairs...

Hi Glen

Excellent site - keep up the wonderful work!  Although I didn't have time to go through the entire site, I particularly liked the pics of the P2 and your P6.  Will come back for more visits later!

I have just had my P3 painted dove grey and thought that you might enjoy seeing a couple of pics which I have attached. I have just sold my P5 because I didn't have the energy and space to run 3 Rovers, but it was a cinch to let it go (you can tell from the pic)!

Cheers

Sarojesh

(Editors note: I'll bet it wasn't a cinch (easy) to let that P5 go! I'd have a hard time parting from it! I guess Sarojesh means that it wasn't hard to find a willing buyer for such a beautiful car.)

Hi Glen

Your mind is in fine fettle; I am in Calcutta!

If you're putting up a page about my cars, then please include a pic of the one that I've driven (and enjoyed driving) the most - my '84 Rangie.  Its a great one, even if I say so myself.  I'm attaching a current pic, but its now being painted and I hope to send you pics of a spiffier car soon!

Cheers
Sarojesh

(Editor's Note: I'll cut Sarojesh some slack and include his "agricultural vehicle" since I've already let Warren Smith's Land Rover get its nose under the tent!)
